Job Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Aide will perform housekeeping and laundry duties according to established standards, workplace policies, and infection control requirements.

Clean assigned areas according to established cleaning schedules.
Follow infection control guidelines and safety procedures.
Perform washing, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, and dusting.
Clean bed frames and mattresses when scheduled or required.
Collect waste and clean waste receptacles.
Maintain and restock housekeeping carts.
Inspect assigned areas before the end of each shift.
Ensure cleaning equipment is clean and working properly.
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and transport linen and clothing.
Process laundry and linen according to established procedures.
Distribute laundry and linen to appropriate areas.
Restock supplies throughout assigned areas.
Assist with inventory procedures and quality control audits.
Support the training or orientation of Environmental Services staff and students when required.
Perform other duties assigned by the department.
